The December IC Project update brings improvements to teams’ everyday work: importing tasks directly to a Kanban board, clearer user lists, faster task reordering, and a new custom fields widget on the project dashboard.

The December changes in IC Project aren’t revolutionary at first glance. We didn’t add new, extensive modules or features that require implementations or changes to the way teams work. We focused on the areas where users most often lose time: task import, working with Kanban boards, managing users in large organizations, and quick access to project data. That’s exactly where small improvements have the biggest impact on day-to-day work comfort.

Below, we describe the four most important changes from the December update.

📥 Import tasks directly to a selected Kanban board

Until now, task import covered the entire project, even if in practice you were working only on one Kanban board. This meant extra task cleanup after import and the risk of disrupting the existing project structure.

Now you can import tasks directly to a selected Kanban board. Tasks land exactly where they should, without affecting other boards or project stages.

This solution works especially well for onboarding new teams, migrating projects from other tools, and working with large backlogs. Import stops being a “cleanup” stage and becomes a real accelerator for getting started.

How to use it?
Just go to the project, click the three dots next to the selected Kanban board, and choose the import option. The system will read the file and add all tasks directly to that board.

👥 Assign only active users

In large organizations, user lists can be long and hard to read. Offline employees, people without system access, or former employees often appeared alongside active users when assigning tasks and projects.

In the December update, we cleaned up this area. By default, everywhere you assign users, you now see only people with login permissions—those who actually work in the system.

At the same time, you don’t lose access to historical data. People without system access are still available with one click—when you actually need them.

This change significantly improves clarity and work speed, especially in companies with a large user base and an extensive project history.

How to use it?
Open any place where you assign users. By default, you’ll see only active people. At the bottom of the list, you can enable the switch “Show users without access.”

🔀 Change task order without dragging

With short Kanban columns, dragging tasks works well. With long lists, it becomes inconvenient, imprecise, and time-consuming.

That’s why we added a new option to change task order without dragging. From the task menu, you can quickly move it to the top of the list, shift it up or down by one position, or move it straight to the bottom of the column.

It’s a simple solution that’s especially useful when columns are long and priorities change dynamically throughout the day.

How to use it?
Go to the project, click the three dots on the task card, and choose “Change order.”

🧩 New widget: Custom fields on the project dashboard

A project dashboard only makes sense if it actually shows the most important information. That’s why we added a new widget that gathers all custom fields assigned to the project in one place.

For projects with many custom fields, the widget quickly becomes a central hub for information and project data aggregation. Importantly, from the same place you can also add new fields without going to the project settings.

The widget is the first element on the dashboard, so as soon as you enter the project you get a quick view of key data.

How to use it?
Go to the project and open the dashboard. The custom fields widget will appear as the first element of the view.

The December IC Project update is a set of small but very practical improvements. Each one on its own doesn’t change how a team works, but together they significantly reduce friction in daily use of the system.

That’s exactly the direction we’re taking IC Project - fewer unnecessary clicks, more control, and faster work where it really matters.
