We’re improving custom fields and the messaging system to make IC Project adapt even better to real workflows – not the other way around.

🧩 Custom fields – more control, less manual work

Custom fields in IC Project are becoming more flexible and more powerful. This update introduces three improvements that make everyday work with data significantly faster.

🔵 Default values in custom fields

You can now set a default value for a custom field.

This means that when a field is added to a task or project, it will be automatically pre-filled – no need to enter the same data repeatedly.

This is especially useful in processes where:

• data standards are fixed,
• the same values are reused across projects,
• you want to reduce missing or incorrect inputs.

The result is simple: less clicking, more consistency.

🔵 Multi-select fields – faster setup

When adding custom fields to a task or project, you can now select multiple fields at once.

Instead of adding them one by one, you choose everything you need in a single action.

A small UI improvement that makes a big difference when configuring larger projects.

🔵 Drag & drop ordering – full control over structure

You can now freely reorder custom fields in the library.

Simply drag and drop to adjust the structure to your needs.

This allows you to:

• keep the most important fields at the top,
• make the library more readable for your team,
• align data structure with your actual workflow.

💬 Voice notes – faster communication without typing

The second big part of this update focuses on communication. Because not every message needs to be written.

We’ve introduced voice notes in the messenger, allowing teams to share more information in less time – without typing and without unnecessary message overload.

✔️ communicate faster and more naturally
✔️ use voice notes in every thread type: private, group, project, and task discussions

This is especially useful in situations where speed and context matter more than perfectly structured text messages.

How it works in practice

On desktop:

• you’ll find the option under the “+” button in the message input

On mobile:

• simply use the microphone icon always available at your fingertips

Voice notes are also fully available in the mobile app, where they feel the most natural and intuitive to use.
